ORTHODONTICS CINCINNATI FOR CHILDREN
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends all children should see an orthodontist by the age of 7. At this age, most children will have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, giving ample time for the orthodontist to diagnose and intercept any tooth or jaw issues that may exist. For example, sometimes it is very beneficial to correct a skeletal discrepancy in the early mixed dentition so that we can take advantage of growth.
Early orthodontics can help:
- Correct and guide the growth of your child’s jaw
- Regulate the width of upper and lower arches
- Create space for crowded teeth
- Avoid extractions
- Eliminate thumb sucking
- Help with narrow sinus cavity
- Improve speech impediments
- Improve airway breathing issues
ORTHODONTICS CINCINNATI FOR TEENS
Between the ages of 11 and 15, most if not all permanent teeth have erupted and are in place. At that point, crooked teeth, gaps and bad bites can easily be corrected. Since these problems will hardly ever correct themselves, parents should consider orthodontics for their teens.
Our practice offers the following options in orthodontics for teens:
- Ceramic (Clear) Braces
- Traditional Metal Braces
- Invisalign Teen

ORTHODONTICS CINCINNATI FOR ADULTS
Improving the health of your teeth and gums is equally important as an adult. Treatment in orthodontics later in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self-esteem. Plus, if left untreated, crooked teeth and a bad bite can contribute to gum & bone loss, tooth decay, abnormal wear of the tooth enamel and surfaces, headaches, and jaw joint (TMJ/TMD) pain.
We use new techniques and appliances in orthodontics, which greatly reduce discomfort and shorten treatment time. You may even be allowed to choose from several orthodontic treatment options. Those options would include metal braces, translucent (clear) braces, or Invisalign, which is an alternative method of straightening teeth and correcting occlusions without braces; more and more types of cases can effectively be treated using Invisalign.
During the initial examination, we will be able to determine the best possible treatment for your individual needs. In fact, during this initial examination, we can outline the treatment plan, give you all of your treatment options, the time of treatment expected, and the approximate cost.
A large percentage of our patients are adults, and they agree that it’s never too late to receive treatment in orthodontics and improve their greatest asset – their smile.
