Patients
Getting Started
Once it is determined orthodontic treatment is needed, patients are advised to visit their general dentist for any necessary cleanings, restorations, and/or extractions. Regular cleanings with a dentist every six months should also continue for patients even while they are in active orthodontic treatment.
Before each orthodontic appointment, patients are encouraged to visit our brushing station(s) to brush their teeth before they get in the chair. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided in the office.
Convenient Appointments
Our staff makes every effort to accommodate each patient’s busy schedule. In fact, we can schedule you before work or school since we start seeing patients as early as 7 AM on some days. We can also see you after work or school.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide a 24-hour notice in order to help us continue to schedule efficiently.
Treatment Time
Treatment may last anywhere from 6 to 24+ months depending on the complexity of the case and the compliance of the patient. Appointments are typically scheduled 3-5 weeks apart. Your cooperation in keeping scheduled appointments, maintaining good hygiene, wearing your elastics/aligners, and taking good care of your appliances will go a long way towards keeping you on schedule…and maybe even allow you to finish early!
